As an Applied AI Engineer at Hedda, you will turn fast-moving AI capabilities into dependable product experiences used in real construction and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with customers, product and engineering, taking ideas from early experiments to observable and reliable production systems.

What you’ll do
• Design and ship agents, retrieval systems, evaluations and production AI features • Improve accuracy, latency, observability and reliability across the AI stack • Turn ambiguous construction problems into testable technical solutions • Build robust data and evaluation pipelines for real-world AI systems • Collaborate closely with product, customers and domain experts • Help shape the architecture, tooling and engineering practices behind Hedda’s AI platform

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building applied AI or machine learning products • Hands-on experience with LLM systems, retrieval, agents or evaluation frameworks • A practical approach to experimentation, measurement and production reliability • Comfortable owning work from prototype to production • Clear communicator who enjoys solving problems across product and engineering • Experience with data pipelines, developer tooling or cloud infrastructure is a plus
